Symptoms

  • Affected fish gather at the water inlets and outlets
  • Swim to the water inlet and collect air
  • Lethargy and the congregating of fish near-water interface.
  • Highly mortality especially large fish
  • rapid opercular movement
  • Gasping mouth swim at water surface

Host (Common sp.)

  • All fish

Treatment Method

  • Monitor DO levels and provide aeration
  • Providing fish with oxygenated water
  • Supplemental aeration should begin with both pneumatic (Air pumps)
