Identification Features

  • Flower Petal Shape – Rounded - square & sometimes wider than long (2*2 mm)
  • Flower Shape – Tail like flowers with 2 (rarely 3) petals, 6 stamens & 3 ovaries
  • Shapes of Ovaries – Up to 1.75*1 mm
  • Shapes & Sizes of Stamen - Size of the stamen is up to 1.5 - 2.5 mm & strongly widened towards base & swollen anthers violet & pollen yellow
  • Shapes & Sizes of Fruits - Up to 12*5 mm, about 2.5 times as long as thick, smooth & often curved
