Description
Large tetra species, growing to 5.5cm Silver color body. All mature males are having gill glands and hooks in the anal fin ray. Female are slightly larger and heavier than the males. Blood fin tetra live in freshwater, benthopelagic areas and distributed in South America, ParanĂ¡ River basin (Riel and Baensch, 1991).
